The Central West End is a broad area to the west of Midtown, along the City's central corridor. It is bounded on the north by Delmar Boulevard, on the south by Highway 40 (I-64), on the west by De Baliviere Avenue and its projection across Forest Park and on the east by Vandeventer Avenue. The land is gently rolling in character with relatively flat inclines except for rather hilly terrain within the park.

An independently-owned bookstore offering a full-line of new and used books. Our mission has always been to offer an intelligent, culturally diverse selection of titles with a focus on politics, contemporary arts and literature, high-quality children's books, African American interest, GLBT titles and more. No independent bookstore would be complete without a cat. We've had several cats, since 2005 we were adopted by Spike, who enjoys long naps on the Special Orders desk, dancing for cat treats and shoplifting mouse-sized, furry covered children's books for his own pleasure.

A new garage stands behind the building, serving the Moolah Temple as well as SLU.
